Unit 7 So much to do before we travel!

(第一课时教学设计)

一、        学情分析

本教案的授课对象为职业学校高一年级普通班的学生。这些学生有一定的英语基础,能听懂和说出一些单词和词组,但不能用完整的语句表达个人观点,缺乏综合运用语言的能力;能参与一些让他们感兴趣的课堂活动,但课后较少主动复习,没有养成良好的学习习惯。针对此现象,教师可以考虑通过图片展示、讨论等直观教学手段组织多样化的课堂活动来分解和降低教学难度,调动学生的参与积极性,唤起学生英语学习的欲望,让学生在有目的、有节奏的情景活动中,学有所得。同时,活动难度层层递进或是设计不同难易度的任务,可以促进小组合作、同伴互助,引发更多学生自主学习,使更多学生愿意接受挑战,尽力完成各项语言任务。

 

二、        教材分析

1、教学内容

本课时系教材《英语2》(基础模块 高教版)第七单元的第一课时,包括lead-in & Listening and Speaking两部分,具体内容:去不同地方旅游所需携带物品的英文表达,听、说有关旅游计划的对话。

这些内容为整个单元的学习活动做语言和知识的准备,也为学生学以致用的语言表达活动提供了语言铺垫。旅游是学生感兴趣的话题,也比较容易为学生创设较为真实的语言环境,从而能更积极地加入到课堂教学活动中来。

 

2、教学重点、难点

教学重点:学生能听懂,并能利用所学词汇和句式进行有关旅游计划的对话。

 教学难点:学生能利用所学词汇和句式进行有关旅游计划的对话。

 

三、           教学目标

1、知识目标

1 学生(听说读写)四会要求掌握以下词汇:visit, cash, camera, bathing suit, umbrella, forest, agency, Sydney, book(v.)

2)学生能掌握表达建议的基本句型:

What / How about V+ing / n. …?

Shall we …?

Where shall we…?

What do we need to take with us?

Let’s …

That’ a great / wonderful idea.

I really like …

Sure.

That’s cool.

2、能力目标

1)学生能听懂有关旅游计划的对话。

2)学生能利用所学词汇和句式进行有关旅游计划的对话。

3、情感目标

学生能热爱大自然、欣赏美丽风光。

 

四、教学步骤

Step One Lead in

1. Free talk:

T: What will you do on your vocation?

Where will you go? (Present some pictures of scenery to enlarge Ss’ vocabulary.)

2. Show the pictures of Activity 1 one by one, and ask:

“When you visit this place, what will you bring?” (When Ss can’t speak out more things to bring, present some pictures to help them.)

After discussing, ask students to read the new words and phrases above.

3. Show a picture of a foreign country and ask:

   “If you have a chance to visit this country, what do you need to do before travelling?”

 (Encourage Ss to express themselves in English. If they can’t do it, show some pictures of the phrases in Activity 2 to help.)

Discuss in groups: Choose the three most important things you need to do for a trip abroad.

Then give a short report to the class.

(设计意图:大量图片展示与词汇教学相结合,直观形象,降低了词汇教学的难度,增加了词汇教学的趣味性。小组讨论是为了让更多的学生参与课堂活动。Activity 1中增加的词汇是为下文的听力教学做铺垫。)

 

Step Two Listening

1. Read the question to the class: “What are Cindy and Annie talking about?”

Ss listen and answer. (Activity 3)

2. Make sure Ss understand the meanings of the words and phrases first, and then let Ss listen and tick. Check the answers. (Activity 4) 

3. Explain the chart to the class first, and then listen and complete. Check the answers. (Activity 5)

4. Ask Ss to read the dialogue aloud following the tape-recorder.

(设计意图:通过不同听力目标的设定,训练学生根据问题、单词、图表等信息,预测听力内容的能力以及在听的过程中提取信息的能力,同时,为学生说的活动提供语言铺垫。)

 

Step Three Speaking

1. Ask Ss to read aloud after the tape and underline the words and sentences for giving suggestions. (Activity 6)

2. Ask Ss to point out the sentences and teacher writes them down on the blackboard.

What / How about V+ing / n.…?

Shall we …?

Where shall we…?

What do we need to take with us?

Let’s …

That’ a great / wonderful idea.

I really like …

Sure.

That’s cool.

3. Ask Ss to read these sentences aloud together.

4. Pair work:

A. Present some pictures of places, let Ss make up a short dialogue about discussing the place to go.

B. Present some pictures of articles, let Ss make up a short dialogue about discussing the things to take.

C. Present some pictures of activities, let Ss make up a short dialogue about discussing the activities to do.

 (Teacher can make a dialogue with one of the students first as a model. Ss make up their own dialogues with the help of the above sentence structures on the blackboard.)

5. Let Ss work in pairs and make a dialogue about a one-week travel plan, and then ask some pairs to act out the dialogues. (Activity 7)

(设计意图:划线是为了培养学生归纳、总结学习重点的能力,Pair work中的看图说话是为了分解和降低Speaking对话练习的难度,两者都是为了进一步加深学生对表达建议和讨论旅游计划句型的印象,为Activity 7做准备。)

 

Step Four Summary

Ask Ss to review the words and phrases they have learned in class, and then summarize the sentence structures of giving suggestions. Read them together.

 

Step Five Homework

1. Ask Ss to recite the dialogue of listening after class.

2. Ask Ss to copy the new words and phrases of this part.

3. Ask Ss to get some information about Sydney.
