Book预备级 Unit 4 What time is it?

(第三课时 教学设计)

 

一、教材分析

1.教学内容

本课时系教材《英语基础模块》(预备级 高教版)第四单元的第三课时,包括phonetics review,具体内容为:体会并训练vowels ([i?] [e?] [u?] [?u] ) consonants ( [m] [n][?][dz][ts])

2.教学重点、难点

教学重点

模仿歌谣中含有目标音标的单词读音。

教学难点

体会元音音标([i?] [e?] [u?] [?u])的正确发音,并区分发音相似的辅音音标

二、教学目标

1.       知识目标

⑴找出歌谣中含有元音[i?] [e?] [u?] [?u]的单词,并准确发音。

⑵模仿、背诵含有元音[i?] [e?] [u?] [?u]的歌谣

(3)熟读绕口令,熟悉辅音音标[m] [n][?][dz][ts]

2.       能力目标

能辨认并认读拼写相近的单词的发音。

⑵列举几个含有元音音标[i?] [e?] [u?] [?u]的单词,并准确发音。

3.       情感目标

学生通过朗读歌谣纠正自己的发音,提高语音语调,培养学生的英语学习兴趣。

 

三、教学步骤(英文)

Step One  Lead-in 5m

1. Ask some pairs of students to practice asking and answering time, using the table in Activity 9.

(设计意图:复习提问和回答时间的表达方式。)

 

Step Two Phonetics review (25m)

1.     Activity 10. Repeat and choose. Ask the students to look at the pictures and choose a word to finish the sentences. Then let them read after the tape. Help the students to find out the “secret” in these words—the vowel [i?] is included. Encourage the students to list more words that contain the vowel [i?].

E.g.: near, year, beerdisappear,   ideadearherebeardKorea, clearly

(设计意图:考验学生的思维的开放程度,同时认真体会元音[i?]的发音。)

2. Activity 11. Listen and underline. Listen and underline the words which have the vowel [i?], and help them to recite the song.

         Mr Lear comes from Korea.

Hell be here this year.

I hear he has a black beard

And often likes drinking beer.

(设计意图:体会歌谣中反复出现的[i?]的发音及其韵律,帮助学生快速模仿、背诵。)

3. Activity 13. Listen and choose. Look at the pictures and choose a word in the box to finish the dialogue. Encourage the students to list more words that contain the vowel [i?].

4. Activity 14. Listen and fill. Write down hair and beard on the blackboard, ask the students to read the words and fill in the blanks. If possible, help them to find more similar pairs.

Eg. hear / hare  tear(眼泪) / tear (撕碎) cheer/ chair … …

(设计意图:通过辨认读音,使学生体会并辨认音标[i?] [e?]的发音。)

5. Activity 15. Listen and underline. Listen and underline the words which have the vowel [e?], and help them to imitate the correct pronunciation. Read the song after the tape.

6. Activity 17. Listen and fill. Listen and choose a word to finish the sentences. Then encourage them to list more words hat contain the vowel [e?].

E.g.: pair, scared, where, air, bear, there, carefully, stair, hair, chair, pearfair

7. Activity 18. Listen and fill. Write the two words stewardess and tourist on the blackboard. Listen and choose a word to finish the two sentences. Then ask them to read out the right sentences.

(设计意图:通过辨认读音,使学生意识到拼写相近、发音相近的单词意思有时大相径庭,从而意识到发音准确的重要性。)

8. Activity 19. Listen and underline. Listen and underline the words which have the vowel [u?], and let them to imitate the correct pronunciation. Repeat the song and recite the song if possible.

9. Activity 21. Listen and choose. Listen to the tape and choose the correct words to finish the passage. Then read the passage after the tape.

Ask the students to collect the words that have the vowel [u?].

E.g.: tour, sure, Europe, cure … …

(设计意图: 考验学生的思维的开放程度,同时认真体会元音[u?]的发音。)

10. Activity 22. Repeat and choose. Ask the students to look at the pictures and choose a word to finish the sentences. Then let them read after the tape. Help the students to find out the “secret” in these words—the vowel [?u] is included. Encourage the students to list more words that contain the vowel [?u].

(设计意图:学生通过反复朗读来体会单词的发音,鼓励学生自己归纳出这些单词的共同点--—包含元音[?u]的发音。)

11. Activity 23. Listen and underline. Listen and underline the words which have the vowel [?u], and let them to imitate the correct pronunciation. Repeat the song and recite the song if possible.

Ask the students to collect the words that have the vowel [?u], if possible, list more words that have the vowel [?u].

E.g. home, cold, go, no, phone, host, ghost, know, low, below, grow, blow, show, flow, boat, coat, goal… … 

12. Activity 25. Listen and rearrange. Listen to the tape and finish the songs by rearranging the order of the words.

Joan and Joe go for a stroll.

Joe shows Joan his roses.

Joan won’t go home alone.

So Joe goes home with Joan.

13. Activity 26. Listen and tick. Ask the students to listen to the tape and choose the correct pictures. Then let them read after the tape. Help the students to find out the consonants---  [m] [n][?][dz][ts] in those words.

(设计意图:学生通过反复朗读来体会单词的发音,鼓励学生自己找出这些单词中发辅音[m] [n][?][dz][ts]的字母或字母组合。)

14. Activity 27. Listen and tick. Listen and tick the words that the students hear. Then ask them to read out the right sentences.

There is a knife on the table.

Tom is a good swimmer.

Grandma is napping in the sofa.

They’re planting seeds in the field.

(设计意图:通过辨认读音,使学生意识到拼写相近、发音相近的单词意思有时大相径庭,从而意识到发音准确的重要性。)

15. Activity 28. Listen and repeat. Listen and repeat the tongue twister after the tape. Read the tongue twister in pairs to see who reads better.

 (设计意图:通过熟读绕口令使学生能够熟悉本单元出现的辅音,同时让学生挑战朗读绕口令也可以培养学生的英语学习兴趣。)

 

Step Three Summary (13m)

1.     Compete to list all the words that have the sound [m] in 4 groups.

[m] man make moon morning move come comb … …

2.     Compete to list all the words that have the sound [n] in 4 groups.

[n] pen ten nine fine night noon moon clean … …

3.     Compete to list all the words that have the sound [?] in 4 groups.

[?] uncle bank English think thank junk sing king morning evening …

4.     Compete to list all the words that have the sound [dz] in 4 groups.

[dz] goods woods moods hoods… …

5.  Compete to list all the words that have the sound [ts] in 4 groups.

 [ts] students boots boats goats nuts… …

 

 (设计意图:对本课时教学主要内容元音音标[m] [n][?][dz][ts]做个小结。)

5.     Read the tongue twister to review the consonants [m] [n][?][dz][ts].

 

Step Four Homework (2m)

1. Read the songs in Activity 11 and Activity 23.

2. Read the tongue twister in Activity 28 for 3 times.
