教学设计

 

第三课时 Phonetics review

(Vowels: Chant 3 and Chant 4)

1.教学内容

本课时包括Phonetics review (Vowels: Chant 3 and Chant 4)部分,具体训练内容为:元音/?/ /e/,辅音:/p/ /k/ /t/ /d/ /b/ /g/ 

2.教学重点、难点

教学重点:上述音标的准确发音;

教学难点:元音/?/ /ai/ /e/的区分。

3. 教学目标

知识目标: 通过模仿、辨别进一步熟悉音标中元音/?/ /e/,辅音:/p/ /k/ /t/ /d/ /b/ /g/的正确发音;

能力目标: 正确跟读上述音标及相关歌谣、单词。

4. 教学步骤

 

Step I  Revision and introduction

Make a brief revision about the vowels /i:/ /i/ that we learned in last section, and introduce the pronunciation /?/ /e/ that will appear in this class..

Step II  Practice on Vowels: /?

Chant 3  A rat and a cat

Activity 16

1. Try to pronouce. Ss read aloud the words given: Jack, Frank, cat, kite.

2. Listen and choose. Ss fill in the blanks with the words they listened, then check with each other.

3. The teacher writes down the words cat and kite, and asks the Ss to tell /?/ and /ai/

Activity 17

1. Listen to a chant. (individual work)

2. Find and underline. Ss try to find out those words which contain the pronunciation / ? / in this chant, and underline them.

*3. Read and recite. Ss read aloud the chant and try to recite it in 1 minute.( only for possible Ss)

(设计意图:对部分程度好的学生,可以作此要求,熟读后的背诵能加深记忆。)

Activity 18

1. Listen and repeat. Ss listen to Chant 3 once again, then follow to read, paying attention to the underlined words.

2. Brainstorm. Try to list as many as possible the words that contain pronunciation / ? / and do orally practice.

(设计意图:以头脑风暴的形式复习单词。)

Activity 19

1. Choose and fill. Ss fill in the blanks with the words black and fat. (individual work)

2. Read and feedback within groups of 4 Ss. (group work)

*3. Read and recite. Ss read aloud once again and try to recite it in 1 minute.( only for possible Ss)

(设计意图同上:对部分程度好的学生,可以作此要求,熟读后的背诵能加深记忆。)

Step III  Practice on Vowels: /e/

Chant 4  Good, better, best!

Activity 20

1. Try to pronouce. Ss read aloud the words given:

 better, best, red, right, desk, rest, bell and bill.

2. Listen and circle (Ss’ individual work), then check with each other.

3. The teacher checks the answers.

Activiity 21

1. Listen to a chant. (individual work)

2. Find and underline. Ss try to find out those words which contain the pronunciation / e / in this chant, and underline them.

*3. Read and recite. Ss read aloud the chant and try to recite it in 1 minute.( only for possible Ss)

(设计意图同上:对部分程度好的学生,可以作此要求,熟读后的背诵能加深记忆。)

Activity 22

1. Listen and repeat. Ss listen to Chant 4 once again, then follow to read, paying attention to the underlined words.

2. Brainstorm. Try to list as many as possible the words that contain pronunciation / e / and do orally practice.

Activity 23

1. Read and discuss. (group work)

2. Read and find. Ask the volunteer group to give their answers, then check with the whole class.

3. Ss try to find out those words which contains the pronunciation of /i:/ /i/ and / ? /.

Step IV  Consolidation practice

Try to recite Chant 3 and Chant 4 after the class, paying attention to the pronunciation of /?/ and /e/.

 

 

板书设计

Vowels /?/ /e/

/?/: cat, Jack, Frank, Sam, rat, black, fat, bag, back, hat, map…

 

/ai/: kite…

 

/e/: better, best, red, desk, rest, bell,never, let, bed, get, said, well, pen, head, well, ten, friend, pet,west, test…
